Is social media the cause of your burnout and imposter syndrome?

Uncategorized Apr 28, 2023

If you've been with me awhile you know I always share my changes, accomplishments, and even my challenges. This month I have so exciting news to share and some changes that I'm making to how I promote myself as a Financial Therapist. Over the past few years, I've been working hard to build my presence on social media.

While I've seen some success, I've come to the realization that it's not the most effective way for me to reach my target audience - other small business owners and Financial Advisors like you.

Therefore, I have decided to shift my focus towards appearing on podcasts and writing blog posts as the primary ways to promote myself as a thought leader in the financial therapy industry. I'm committed to providing you with valuable content that will help you better understand the benefits of financial therapy and how it can benefit your clients.

I know that you may be wondering why I've made this change, and I want to share with you some of the reasons behind my decision. First, by appearing on podcasts and writing blog posts, I can reach a larger audience than I would on social media. Blog posts or podcast episodes last longer than social media posts. They are often evergreen and I’ve seen so much success from both.

Additionally, these platforms allow me to showcase my expertise and share my message with people who are actively seeking information on financial therapy. Finally, by focusing on quality content over quantity, I believe that I can provide more value to you and others in the financial therapy community.

To make this new way of promoting myself work, I have developed a content strategy that aligns with my goals and resonates with my audience. I will be reaching out to podcast hosts and publications that cater to Financial Advisors and small business owners to pitch my ideas and share my expertise. I'll also be promoting my content on my website and through my email list to help spread the word about financial therapy and its benefits.

Next month, I will participate in a summit called Midlife Conversations Deep Dive with Natalie Jill. My breakout session is called, “Why You Are Not Truly Financially Thriving in Midlife.” This is the first of many podcast appearances that I will share with you. The Midlife Conversations Deep Dive summit is the kick-off of my new marketing strategy and although I’m inviting you to check out my interview, you will be able to enjoy all the summit participants for free using the invitation I share with you.

This summit is like Netflix for personal growth in midlife. Think of it as a way to get information on the things you haven’t been able to talk to others about. Here is the link to register.

I guess this shift away from social media for my business is my own little midlife crisis. Trust me, I’ve had a few of them, so if you feel like you are experiencing one, you are not alone. I'm excited about this new chapter in my business journey. I'm grateful to have you all on this journey with me.

I appreciate your support and look forward to sharing more valuable insights with you in the future. Start with this summit, Midlife Conversations Deep Dive with Natalie Jill so you can determine, “Why You Are Not Truly Financially Thriving in Midlife.”

I’ll miss you on social media, but I’ll send you updates on the podcast appearances and blog posts I write so I am still here with you. Be sure to register for the free summit or purchase it so you can watch it on your schedule.

It’s great if you’d rather binge watch something that will add massive value to your life. Here is the link to register free.
