My Medieval Times Atlanta Review and Happy Birthday Gift

M’Lords and M’Ladies,

Prepare to be informed and maybe even entertained as I deliver you my Medieval Times Review. During my visit to the castle the chancellor announced several guest celebrating different things. There were people celebrating birthdays (like me), others celebrating the holiday season, while others were celebrating anniversaries. That told me that, there is always a good reason to go to Medieval Times. In fact, you don’t need a reason to celebrate because the queen invites you to celebrate life with her.

It was an honor to join the queen on my day of birth to choose the strongest knight. The excitement was better than reality TV and took less brain power than an escape room. The people of Santiago (the section my family and I sat in) all cheered for the Black and White Knight. While other sections cheered for their knight in colored armor.

The air in the castle bound us all together as we feasted and toasted to the queen, our knight, and ourselves. From the time we walk in the front gate of the castle (VIP for me, of course) we were transformed into a new land and a new time. We left our rules and manners behind...in this castle we eat with our hands, we yell out loud, and we fight to win.

On this day, we hail from Santiago and the Black and White night serves as our protector. There were games first, then the real battle began. The Knight of Santiago presented a bit of a surprise and twist in the middle of the games, so we quickly figured out there was more to come. We later congratulated him on a job well done as he was available after the battle to greet his royal subjects.

If you are looking for a memorable experience Medieval Times is the place. Whether kid or adult it is exciting. We all walked away with our own unique experience and several souvenirs. Medieval Times has been on my list of places to go for years. Living in Chicago, I would see the commercials on TV but somehow never went. Now that I’ve gone, I wonder what took me so long and I know I’ll go again.

While I was in Orlando last year I met the marketing team and some of the performers. It still took me a year to go. Don’t do what I did and wait, go now. It’s worth your time and money. The performance is larger than life and nothing about it feels fake. You are drawn in and become a part of the kingdom. It’s kind of like going to the movies, but even better because you are part of the show. The horses are beautiful and regal and the performers are powerful.

This year there is a new story….so if you’ve gone before, it’s time to go again. A queen has taken the throne for the first time. Long may she reign.. She is graceful, regal, and stern. The knights rever her and the guest love her. Not to mention, she throws a great party. Our group agreed, from the games and battles, to the food and drinks, a good time was had by all.

I plan to visit other locations next year as I travel, hope to see you there.
