My very first Valentine's Day
- My first real Valentine’s day took place in high school, when I was 18 yrs. old.
- My parents and grandparents bought us gifts but there was never a boy that I celebrated with until my senior year.
- At our school we had a flower campaign, I dated one of my best friends, Chevez.
- He had two dozen roses delivered to my class, definitely exceeding my expectations.

- Something that happened so long ago is guiding how I feel about my significant other today, realize what Valentine's Day is not only for you but for your partnership.
- You celebrate Valentine’s day in most cases because someone told you to (women), but men celebrate to please women.
- Give your significant other a list of things that can be done for you, that can satisfy you, don't leave them to fail.
- Most men love to win, so of course they want to meet your expectation or higher, but most women love Valentine’s Day for the thoughts/action shown in calculation for how much your love is valued.
- Why do you celebrate valentine's day? Do you know ? Do you understand why this is important or not important for your relationship? Does it signify love or just done out of traditional expectations?
- Challenge traditions, not just for Valentine’s day but other holidays as well to help you understand why you find these traditions/holidays special.
Celebrate your love everyday
- Is getting love shown on Valentine’s day enough for you? It’s a holiday tradition but conflictual because it can’t be understood why it is celebrated the way it is today.
- Do you only want something on Valentine’s day? If he just blows it all on this one day, does he get the rest of the year off, is this what Valentine's day is for you?
- Let him love year around, if you put too much emphasis on Valentine’s Day he will forget the rest of the days to celebrate your love in a “special way”.
- Have a conversation about what valentine’s day means to you with your significant other.

- What do you expect from Valentine’s day and why?
- Know why you want the things you want on Valentine’s Day, what does this mean or signify for your or your relationship as a couple.

- Is getting love only on Valentine’s Day good enough for you.
- Is the tradition that important to you.
- Communicate - this leads room for love all year around in guiding expectations in order to know what certain things mean for your relationship.
